Review of Martin 000-15M by Dennis Lyerla

by Dennis Lyerla on October 14, 2015

At first glance this guitar has a very vintage look and vibe about it. Starting with the all mahogany satin finish, split diamond inlays, butter bean open gear tuners, and the “Old Style” Martin decal on the headstock. The 000-15M looks like you stepped back in time.

The Martin 000-15M is a very simple, but elegant guitar, it is made of solid mahogany top, back, sides and neck. It boasts a bone nut and bone compensated saddle, along with Ebony bridge pins, and Ebony end pin.

This guitar feels great, the classic 000 body size fits players of all sizes, and is a great choice for either finger picking or as a strummer. The 000-15M delivers nice mellow tones, and some nice rich bass even with the smaller 000 body size, and also has an even amount of volume across the fretboard. The modified low oval neck shape on this guitar makes it comfortable and fun to play for hours.
